Puçol Project students interview a former teacher on World Teachers' Day

At the Puçol School Museum, World Teachers' Day is taken very seriously. Teaching is the direct origin or germ of the Puçol Educational-Museum Project (which yesterday celebrated its 14th birthday as a UNESCO heritage site), since it was an initiative of the first teachers of this center; in particular of Fernando García Fontanet, following his arrival at this rural school, when he saw that traditions were disappearing from collective memory.

In recent years, this anniversary has been celebrated by the Puçol Project by inviting retired teachers to participate in the senior classroom - the fifth and sixth grade students -, being interviewed by them about their childhood. . , about his experience in the classroom, about his years of teaching... Always to make a comparison of what was with what is today: knowing where we come from to know where we are going.

Enedina Sánchez has been the person interviewed on this occasion. Former director of the CEIP Mestre Canaletes de Perleta, Enedina was at this school from 1988 to 2009, the year she retired. And, as a rural teacher, she was also linked in some way to the School Museum and its former faculty of teachers. Enedina's visit has been endearing, she has returned to the museum after years without setting foot in it and has returned to the classrooms to be the protagonist on this day dedicated to teachers.
