The publications of the Calleja publishing house, protagonists of the new temporary exhibition of the Pusol Project

From today until next December, you can visit the new temporary exhibition called Saturnino Calleja at the Pusol School Museum. Not just stories.

Surely more than one and one sounds like "You have more story than Calleja!". Saturnino Calleja founded a small publishing business in 1876 that would end up being the largest in the Spanish-speaking world. Adopting the motto "Everything for illustration", he dedicated himself to publishing publications related to children's education and entertainment, very attractive and at a low price; He attached great importance to book covers and, by making them attractive on the outside, managed to reach a wider audience.

The exhibition shows three showcases, which correspond to the three main lines that the publisher maintained: stories and children's reading; school book; and editions intended for an adult audience.
