The Pusol School Museum is visited by the Elche Parkinson Association

The Center for Traditional Culture has begun the season of guided tours by school children, associations and schools in the province.

Throughout the morning of this Wednesday, the members of the Association Parkinson Elche have come to the School Museum of Pusol to tour its exhibition and know firsthand the history of Ilicitana that safeguards.

The Parkinson Elche Association works for the quality of life of people affected by Parkinson’s disease and their families. Among the health care of this entity is the organization of field trips, so that its members can enjoy the wonders of Elche and the Comarca. Hence they have come to the museum, to enjoy the reproductions of the old shops of El Salvador street, traditional trades and the typical housing of the countryside of Elche early last century.

For more than fifty years, the Pusol School Museum has cooperated with different health associations, youth and senior citizens of the city, since one of its fundamental premises is both the participation of the Ilicitan population and the free access of the entire public to the culture it protects.

This visit begins the 2016/2017 period of guided and interpreted tours by students at the Pusol School Museum, a fundamental part of the Pedagogical and Museum Project, and an activity for which the center received recognition from Unesco in 2009.
