Pusol Travel Agency. The Beginnings of Tourism", the new exhibition of the Pusol School Museum

The exhibition, which opens to the public tomorrow at 10:15 h., reveals the tourist history of Elche through the recreation of an old travel agency.

The Pusol School Museum opens a new temporary exhibition called "Pusol Travel Agency. The Beginnings of Tourism". From tomorrow, September 27 to November 13, visitors can enjoy the recreation of a small travel agency from the sixties-seventies, which shows the beginnings of the tourist boom in our city.

This fictional agency called "Travel Pu-Sol" alludes to the first two travel agencies in Elche. "Travel Vinci" was born in the fifties of the twentieth century and, although soon after closed its doors, was one of its employees who years later would open the second travel agency ilicitana: "Travels Mi-Sol".

The exhibition coincides with the celebration of World Tourism Day. Visit Elche offers for tomorrow two free buses, at 10 and 11:30 hours departing from the MAHE (limited places), to move to the Museum and the site of La Alcudia for free.

A.D.R. (Associació per al desenvolupament rural del camp d'Elx) also wanted to take part in this unique day and invites visitors to the Museum to the free tasting of Granada Mollar’s Slush.

"Pusol Travel Agency. The beginnings of Tourism" will be inaugurated tomorrow at 10:15 am by Fernando García Fontanet, Director of the School Museum of Pusol, and Mireia Mollà, Councillor of Institutional Representation, Tourism and Beaches.
