Last August, the Hon. The Provincial Council of Alicante published in the Official Gazette of the Province, the call for grants to City Councils, Foundations and other non-profit entities, in the province of Alicante, for museums and permanent museum collections, in its 2021 year.

In ordinary competitive competition, the Pusol Project presented a project entitled “For Education and Culture. Cataloging, Research and Dissemination of the Pusol Project collections”, an initiative based on the study of the traditional culture of the municipality of Elche and its surroundings that has benefited from this important subsidy.

The objective of this project is to continue and enrich the usual work carried out by our Project, which contributes to the safeguarding of cultural, tangible and intangible heritage. It is an activity that, based on the investigation of traditional culture in Elche, aims to approach neighboring territories, with the aim of broadening the scope of study and seeking, where appropriate, elements common to other spaces in the province.

The objective of "For education and culture" is based on the safeguarding of a common material and immaterial heritage, with the ultimate goal that future generations know and appreciate their cultural heritage.

Thanks to the Hon. Provincial Council of Alicante, this activity has been able to carry out and achieve the expected results, which must redound to the benefit of society.
