The Puçol School Museum resumes guided tours and workshops in this new academic year 2023/2024

In its constant effort to safeguard our heritage -and, therefore, for its dissemination-, the Puçol School Museum once again resumes guided tours and workshops for students from schools in Elche and its surroundings.

During the visits - where the students of the Puçol school act as guides together with the museum monitors - the traditional country house is toured, the most emblematic works of the Camp d'Elx are explained, such as that of the palm tree, and walks through the shops of the city. A trip to the past, but always taking into account the present and the future: understanding the lives of our ancestors and ancestors to get to know each other better and seek a better future for everyone.

To these visits are added the workshops-experiences, which bring the schoolchildren closer to the knowledge acquired during the visit in a very practical way. Braiding palma blanca, playing traditional games or modeling a botijo are some of these activities.

The new academic year begins with renewed energy at the School Museum, very optimistic, given the good numbers of visits from schools during the previous academic year. Its objective: that more and more schools and institutes learn first-hand about the Puçol Project, guarantor of the roots of the people of Elche.
