During the month of December 2020 and January 2021, the Pusol School Museum exhibits at the Centro Cultural Las Clarisas, a selection of the numerous movie posters it preserves. The vast majority of these funds come from the Kursaal Theatre, the name given to the Gran Teatro at first, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2020.
The exhibition is divided into a series of thematic sections that delve into the aesthetic of the poster during the 1920s and 1930s. The development of general cartelism represented the revolution of graphic design, with real artists whose recognition grew as modern art evolved. This exhibition seeks to rescue these designers and show these film posters that were, for many decades, the most used advertising resource by the film industry, ousted, at the present time, by digital media.
From the Pusol School Museum we invite you to know, or remember, these posters that were hung in corridors and halls of the exhibition halls of Elche and its districts.
Admission is free and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 14:00, and from 15:00 to 18:00, while on Sunday morning until 14:00.
