Relatively recently (not so recently... in 2019) that in the School Museum of Pusol we finished inventorying, at 100% -except what still, today, is coming in donations-collections of clothing and accessories, whose funds are located in the same museum, in nothing more or nothing less than sixteen wardrobes.
Classfield by theme, each of them started many and varied of garments (Pantsuits, skirts, petticoat, underpants, girl's dresses, etc,) As well as home textiles, like aprons, napkins, sheets and beadspreads. There are also the accessories from shoes and ankel boots to ties and hats, passing, of course by bags.
Hand carry model most abundant in our funds, it is the classical of sixties of the past century, its colours are brown and black. Nonetheless, between all of them stand out mini handbags, they are called "ridiculous".
These little handbags are emerged as a result the changes ocurred in the fashion. Previosly to the 18th century, the women wore their belongings in the pockets, they are bound at the waist or were inside of the linings. The new dresses and skirts to late 18th and early 19th century ,the column and fine fabrics, not allowed the incorporation of externally internal pockets, therefore the women couldn't wear any personal object, like a range or a scarf. Hence arose the name "ridiculous"a popular way to called this handbag. The first models were made of fabric with networked, with drawstring and, belatedly, of others fabrics with counts, more decorated. The woman wore the handbag hanging, and tied around his wrist, recalling the urban slums.
In the museum have with a example of type network ( without the original drawstring) and others latest, already with the steel clasp.
