Museo Escolar de Puçol, a place from another time

Museo Escolar de Puçol, a place from another time

I vaguely remember a Christmas when my father took me and my brothers to the parade of kings of the village that ended in Pusol, and I remember perfectly that King Gaspar threw me from his throne a green inflatable ball.

Pusol has always been in my life as a place from another time, which is true. When I was growing up with my father it was like discovering a new world of old gadgets and treasures, like traveling in a time machine. I find it curious that something old for many people, for example a hoe, is something new and new for others, something they have just discovered. What I liked most were the explanations my father gave me to understand everything there was. This is what this museum is about, about our elders telling us their story.

When I had the opportunity to do an internship on this site, I did not think twice and sent the application. Being here for several weeks you understand that such a place makes the magic of the past still alive and, above all, the past of our customs ilicitanas. As you mature you become more interested in the past of your people, for example, now when I visit my grandmother what I like most is having conversations with her about how she lived in the village, those stories are amazing.

I hope those people who like to travel back in time will come to this museum and enjoy its nostalgic atmosphere.
