From June 10, 2026 to January 10, 2027 Within the annual program of activities at the Puçol School Museum, the school exhibition stands out. This initiative allows students from the Puçol school to engage directly with the heritage safeguarded by the museum. In this capacity, the students act as curators of the exhibition, selecting pieces and deciding how to display them. This year, the central theme was toys, leading to a tour of the Alicante province to explore toy industries, leading brands, and retail outlets in the city of Elche. The students and museum staff collaborate on this project about toys, a universal element that has evolved radically since the last century. It is essential to mention the rich toy-making tradition of the Valencian Community, with its main centers in Ibi, Onil, Castalla, and Denia, where specialists in dolls and tin toys emerged, achieving international recognition. This work pays homage to both humble artisans and iconic companies—FAMOSA, PAYÁ, and JYESA—that consolidated a vital industrial fabric for the region. Beyond the production itself, the exhibition highlights the experiences and collective imagination created around these pieces, which transformed hatred and shaped the childhoods of generations. Through the Puçol School Museum, the memory of old local shop windows is recovered, allowing those childhood dreams to be relived today.
