Recently, the Puçol School Museum has received the donation of several issues of La Codorniz, “the most daring magazine, for the most intelligent reader”, as the well-known motto coined by one of its directors, Álvaro de Laiglesia, read. The museum already had some copies among its funds, which are now enriched with the arrival of 54 new issues.
La Codorniz was a humor magazine that was on Spanish newsstands between 1941 and 1978. An incisive and courageous publication that dared to deal with the hottest topics in the country -and the dictatorship-, which is why it had frequent run-ins with censorship. .
This new thematic showcase will be on display to the public until next January 2023.
