The Pusol School Museum begins the new season of visits and workshops

The School Museum continues its activities for success in previous editions The Pusol School Museum begins the new season of guided tours and craft workshops, which complement the experience. The activities are aimed at both a young and adult audience and involve not only knowing the traditional culture of Ilicitana in a relaxed and simple way, but also allows you to experience it, live it.

The guided tour covers the rural area and the urban part that the School Museum recreates. The traditional farmhouse, the most emblematic trades of Elche and the surrounding area, and the recreation of some of the most famous shops in the municipality; to this tour are added the exteriors, such as the orchard and the interior garden with native plants and flowers. In addition, at the end of this year or the beginning of the following year, the School Museum will be a little larger, the expansion works of the permanent exhibition rooms have begun in recent months.

With the beginning of the course, the students of the College of Pusol will begin to prepare together with the technicians of the School Museum to act as guides during the visits, rehearsing week after week to be able to transmit the traditional culture ilicitana to the visitors/ as.

The activity through the exhibition rooms can be complemented with workshops that, after their success in other seasons, repeat in this new course: braided white palm; elaboration of natural air fresheners with aromatic plants (depending on season); saddle strung; marinating dates (according to season); traditional cooking of "coca a la calda", which is cooked in the moruno oven in the garden; and the traditional games workshop (tanganillo, chromes, spit and tabas), preferred by the public, that this course expands its catalog and will offer more games such as marbles, veneers or tello.

 


Schools, institutes, associations, foundations... or any interested group (with a minimum of fifteen people), you are all invited/ as to live the experience of the School Museum of Pusol!
